AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference has named Montevallo defender James Trainer its Defender of the Week for the first time this season and first time in his career.

The Seattle, Wash. Native had a career-high six caused turnovers and three ground balls in Montevallo's 16-15 overtime win over Alabama Huntsville. Trainer's six caused turnovers on Saturday is tied for the most in a single game in the PBC this season. The senior currently ranks second in the PBC in caused turnovers per game.

Trainer and the Falcons return to action on Tuesday, Apr. 24, when Montevallo faces Flagler in the first round of the PBC Tournament.
