Ellery Shearer and
Delaney Deffke earning second team honors.
OFFICIAL RELEASE
Shearer's second-consecutive All-Conference selection comes after a season that saw the sophomore score 45 goals on the season to rank second among GSC leaders. Shearer has added a pair of assists on the season for a team-high 47 points. The sophomore's 11-for-15 mark on free-position shots is the top mark by any Falcon in 2025. Shearer also tallied 14 caused turnovers while picking up 15 ground balls. Shearer started the season on fire with seven goals in each of the Falcons' first two game in 2025. Both of her seven-goal outings are tied for the most in a single game by any GSC student-athlete this season.
Deffke's first-career all-GSC nod featured 14 appearances with 13 starts on the season while adding seven caused turnovers and 13 ground balls. The senior set a season-high with three ground balls against Emmanuel on Feb. 2 and against Young Harris on March 1. The Hickory, N.C. native has been a staple in Montevallo's defense in her career while Deffke added a season-high two caused turnovers against Emmanuel and Tusculum.
