Piontek Announces Addition of McKenna Kincaid to WLAX Coaching Staff

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo Women's Lacrosse Head Coach Adrianna Piontek has announced the addition of McKenna Kincaid to the Falcons' coaching staff.

"I am very excited for this opportunity and want to thank Coach Piontek and the search committee for the chance to work at Montevallo," said Kincaid. "I believe in Coach Piontek's vision and goals for the program and can't wait to get to work on accomplishing them."

Kincaid joins UM's staff after spending a pair of seasons as a Graduate Assistant for the Saint Leo Women's Lacrosse program. In her time in Saint Leo, Fla., Kincaid led the midfield and draw control position groups while coaching Maria Palomba who set the Sunshine State Conference's career draw control record and was named SSC Midfielder of the Year following the 2025 season. At SLU, Kincaid also led a defensive unit that allowed just 9.11 goals per game while helping to lead the squad to a 13-6 overall record with a program-best ranking of No. 6 in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association poll and the program's first win over a top 10 program.

In her inaugural season at Saint Leo, Kincaid helped led the program to a 2024 SSC Tournament victory, the first in Saint Leo's history. During the 2024 season, the Cincinnati, Ohio native helped to lead the team to a program-record 5-2 mark in SSC play while also earning the team's first post-season SSC win.

Some of her other responsibilities at Saint Leo featured practice planning, film breakdown, preparing scouting reports, recruiting, player development, and mentoring student-athletes while monitoring academic progress.

In September of 2024, Kincaid was selected as a member of the Inaugural Cohort of the IWLCA Aspire Program. The IWLCA Aspire Program is a professional development program designed to align with the IWLCA's vision and offer an intensive, high-quality continuing education opportunity for current assistant coaches.

From June 2019 onward, Kincaid was the head club lacrosse coach with LIFT Lacrosse where she oversaw and executed all aspects of the club program including tryout evaluations and implementation, practice planning, player development and recruitment, and mentorship while also overseeing all travel and scheduling logistics.

Throughout her collegiate career, Kincaid spent her first two season at the University of Charleston (WV) before transferring to Notre Dame College (OH) for her final two seasons. Over her four years on the field, Kincaid tallied 57 points on 44 goals and 13 assists with 58 total ground balls and 51 draw controls. She completed her degree in Strategic Communication and Public Relations with a minor in Coaching from Notre Dame College with a 3.916 GPA before earning her Masters of Business Administration: Sports Business from Saint Leo with a 3.909 GPA.
