GREENWOOD, Ind. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) named its Division II Softball Academic All-District team, with
Taylor Lloyd,
Molly Pendley, and
Bentlee Stiner being named to the list.
Lloyd, a junior, from Soddy Daisy, Tenn., earns. this honor for the second year in a row, as she posted a 3.9091 GPA in pursuit of an Elementary Education degree. Lloyd made history in her third year at Montevallo, setting single season program records for wins (15), complete games (16), and ERA (2.10). Lloyd was named to the Gulf South Conference Second Team All-Conference list.
Pendley, a senior, from Cullman, Ala., picks up this award for the second consecutive season, as she posted a 3.758 GPA in pursuit of an Exercise Science degree. Pendley hit in the clean up spot for Montevallo most of the season and led the team in home runs (nine), slugging percentage (.575), OPS (.944), and total bases (92), while sharing a team leading-eight stolen bases. She received GSC Second Team All-Conference honors.
Stiner, a junior, from Chattanooga, Tenn., picks up this honor for the second consecutive year, as she posted a 4.000 GPA in pursuit of an Exercise Science degree. Stiner hit in the leadoff spot most of the year and led the team in on-base percentage (.405), runs scored (40), and walks (22), while sharing a team leading eight stolen bases with Pendley. She was named a GSC Second Team All-Conference honoree.
