MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo Softball Head Coach Beth Wade has announced the addition of Nathan Bodenheimer to the Falcons' coaching staff.
"Nate brings an infectious energy to our program. His desire to help student-athletes improve in any way possible really stood out throughout the interview process," said Wade. "Both of his former head coaches raved about his relentless work ethic and his ability to relate to the athletes at Charlotte. I have no doubt that his experience in a championship environment over the last few years will help improve our program as we move forward, chasing a GSC Championship."
Bodenheimer joins the Montevallo staff after working with the softball program at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte for the past three seasons. Bodenheimer served in many roles while on staff, including as an analytics intern to use film and data to prepare for upcoming opponents, serving as a primary manager to assist in practice and behind-the-scenes operations, and helping develop players into conference-leading athletes.
"The opportunity to help other people get one percent better every day is a passion I have found in my life that is unrivaled," said Bodenheimer. "I hope to take this passion and help future Montevallo softball athletes achieve their goals both on and off the field."
Bodenheimer worked under two solid coaching staffs at Charlotte, spending two years under former Head Coach Ashley Chastain (current Head Coach at the University of South Carolina) and one year under current Head Coach Courtney Breault. In his time at Charlotte, Bodenheimer helped lead the 49ers' softball team to three 30+ win seasons, which included two conference championships and the first two NCAA Regional Tournament appearances in program history (2023 and 2024).
Bodenheimer graduated from Charlotte with a Bachelor's of Operations & Supply Chain Management and a Certificate in Sports Analytics.
