MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo softball team is set for midweek action this week, hosting Spring Hill in a doubleheader starting at 1:00 p.m. CST on Tuesday.

Montevallo enters the week with a 12-3 overall record and a 1-2 mark in Gulf South Conference play. The Falcons opened GSC play this weekend, taking one-of-three against Mississippi College on the road. After dropping a Friday doubleheader, Montevallo responded with a 4-3 win on Saturday.

On the season, Ariana Pinder posts a team leading .405 batting average, while Bentlee Stiner has a team leading-21 hits. Becca Benton holds team leads in home runs (eight), RBIs (20), and slugging percentage (1.049). Taylor Rogers has been strong on the base paths, going 12-for-12 on stolen bases. In the circle, Taylor Lloyd (8-1) leads the way with a 1.61 ERA, .217 opponent batting average and 49 strikeouts. Lloyd has pitched six complete games and 56.2 innings total.

Spring Hill enters the week with a 5-7 overall record. The Badgers last saw action on Feb. 13, where SHC dropped two-of-three to Henderson State.

On the season, Bethany Ahrens has a team high .519 batting average, while Meadow Villar holds a team leading-20 hits and ties for a team leading-ten RBIs. Ahrens also produces in the circle, holding a 3-3 record, while posting a 4.38 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 30.1 innings pitched. Emma Curry (1-3) posts a 4.14 ERA with 12 strikeouts in 25.1 innings.

First pitch of Tuesday's doubleheader is set for 1:00 p.m. CST at Softball Stadium at Orr Park.
