MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo women's lacrosse hosts No. 1 Flagler on Saturday, April 11 at 11 a.m. for the penultimate game of the 2026 regular season.
OFFICIAL SCHEDULE
Montevallo opened the season with a 10-8 loss on the road at Newberry before topping Shorter, 18-4, on the road on Feb. 7. Montevallo's home opener saw a 14-13 loss to Young Harris before the Falcons fell to Emmanuel, 15-14, in overtime on Feb. 21. Montevallo then dropped back-to-back meetings with No. 6 Embry-Riddle and No. 11 Saint Leo at home before heading out for a 12-10 win over North Greenville on March 7. The Falcons dropped a road meeting with Belmont Abbey, 14-13, on March 14 before returning home for a 20-4 win over Virginia State on March 16 for the first Gulf South Conference game of the season. The Falcons dropped a meeting with No. 8 Lynn on March 21 before falling to Palm Beach Atlantic, 11-10, on March 23. Montevallo continued GSC action with a loss to No. 24 UAH before falling to Lander on April 4 in Montevallo's most recent outing.
With two games left in the regular season, Montevallo averages 13.85 points per game on an average of 9.85 goals and 4.00 assists. On the draw, Montevallo has posted an average of 9.08 draw controls per game while adding 16.92 ground balls per game. Defensively, Montevallo allows 13.69 goals per game while posting a .422 save percentage to go along with an average of 8.69 caused turnovers per game and a .738 clearing percentage.
Ellery Shearer highlights Montevallo's attack with a total of 31 points on the season with 27 goals and four assists while adding a total of six free-position goals, 12 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers.
Claire Withington ranks second on the team with 29 points on 22 goals and seven assists while posting four free-position goals.
Asha Jamieson leads the team with 18 draw controls while adding 20 points on 19 goals and one assist.
Bridget Quayle leads the Falcons after posting 18 caused turnovers and 22 ground balls while adding 14 points on 11 goals and 3 assists.
Flagler heads into the weekend with a 15-0 overall record and a 3-0 mark in conference play after topping Emmanuel, 17-1, to open the season. The Saints then took an 18-11 win over No. 10 Saint Leo on Feb. 7 before adding an 18-9 win over No. 24 Florida Tech on Feb. 13. FC went on to take a 24-2 win over Saint Michaels before topping then No. 1 Florida Southern, 13-7 on Feb. 26. Flagler posted a pair of 18-7 wins over Palm Beach Atlantic and Westminster on Feb. 23 and March 3, respectively. The Saints went on to top No. 8 Lynn, 14-9, and Anderson, 21-8, before closing the nonconference schedule with a 16-3 win over Newberry before a 19-12 win over No. 6 Embry-Riddle. Flagler opened GSC action with a 25-3 win over Virginia State before posting a 24-5 win over Lander on March 28. The Saints added a 19-4 win over Young Harris on April 2 before topping Lee, 22-3, on April 4.
Flagler ranks No. 2 in the nation with an average of 19.07 goals per game while adding 6.73 assists for a total of 25.80 points per game. On the draw, Flagler averages 15.80 draw controls per game while posting an average of 15.93 ground balls per game. Defensively, the Saints allow 6.07 goals per game for the No. 2 mark in Div. II while posting 9.87 caused turnovers per game and a .924 clearing percentage.
Jessica Wright leads the team with a 76 points on 47 goals and 29 assists while Carley Tepel adds 59 points on 43 goals and 16 assists. Ella Pinder leads the Saints with 49 draw controls while adding 18 ground balls to go along with 37 points on 26 goals and 11 assists. Maddy Hartsock leads the team with a total of 14 caused turnovers while adding 14 ground balls and two points on one goal and one assist.
