JACKSON, Tenn. – The No. 16 Montevallo softball team dropped a pair of games on the road to Union (0-3, 0-5) on Friday.
GAME ONE
Taylor Lloyd earned the start in the circle, allowing two earned runs through five innings. Mya Young pitched the final inning for the Falcons.
Montevallo threatened in the top of the fourth inning, as Ariana Pinder and Makayla Peters recorded hits, but a play at the plate would keep the Falcons off the board.
The Bulldogs got on the board in the bottom of the fifth inning, as a bases-clearing double gave Union a 3-0 advantage.
Neither team scored throughout the rest of the contest, as Union took home the 3-0 victory.

GAME TWO
Kinsley Byrd pitched the first five innings, recording two strikeouts and allowing four earned runs in five innings of work. Berkley Mooney pitched the final inning for the Falcons.
The Bulldogs struck first once again, plating five runs through the first three innings.
Montevallo threatened in the top of the fourth inning, as Emma Hawkins reached on an error, while Becca Benton and Makayla Peters recorded back-to-back singles to load the bases. A groundout ended the threat, keeping the Falcons off the board.
The Falcons were unable to produce any runs through the remainder of the contest as Union held on for the 5-0 victory.
