MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo softball team has captured a spot in the first NCAA South Region rankings announced on Wednesday. The first poll is presented in alphabetical order, while the remaining polls will be listed in ranked order.

Montevallo holds an overall record of 38-9 and a 19-8 mark in Gulf South Conference play. The Falcons have made history throughout the 2026 season, setting a new program record for wins and earning the first national ranking in program history. The Falcons currently sit at No. 20 in the NFCA/GoRout Division II poll.

Montevallo closes the season with two other teams recognized in the South Region rankings in AUM and West Florida.
