BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference announced its annual awards on Thursday, with three Montevallo players earning All-Conference recognition. Zach Wyatt and Jack Fitzgerald were named to the All-GSC First Team, while Hudson Allen earned Second Team honors.

Wyatt secured First Team recognition after a standout season on the mound, finishing 7-3 with a 3.99 ERA across 85.2 innings. He ranked second in the GSC and eighth nationally with 85 strikeouts, while issuing just 20 walks and holding opponents to a .281 batting average. His season highlights included a complete-game shutout in a 1-0 win over Delta State on April 2 and a career-high 12 strikeouts against Valdosta State on March 20. Wyatt also pitched at least 7.0 innings in seven starts.

Fitzgerald earned First Team honors at first base following an impressive debut season in Montevallo. The Braintree, Mass., native led the team in several offensive categories, batting .325 with 52 hits, 12 doubles, two triples, 14 home runs, and 40 RBI. He posted a team-best 1.151 OPS and a .688 slugging percentage, both ranking third in the GSC. Fitzgerald recorded 13 multi-hit games, highlighted by a 3-for-4, eight-RBI performance against Hillsdale during opening weekend.

Allen was named to the Second Team at second base after a strong sophomore campaign. The Huntingburg, Ind., native hit .310 with 44 hits, 12 doubles, four home runs, and 21 RBI, while adding five stolen bases. He elevated his performance in conference play, batting .326 with eight doubles and three home runs against GSC opponents.

Wyatt, Fitzgerald, Allen, and the Falcons open GSC Tournament play on Friday, May 1, facing No. 6 seed Trevecca at Choccolocco Park. First pitch is set for 2:30 p.m.
