MONTEVALLO, Ala. – For the first time in program history, Montevallo has earned a spot in the NCAA Division II Softball Tournament.

Montevallo enters the tournament as the No. 6 seed in the South Region after setting a new program record for wins in a single season, posting a 39-16 overall record.

The Falcons travel to Pensacola, Fla., where second-seeded West Florida will host an all-GSC regional. Montevallo will face seeded third-seeded West Alabama in the first round, while West Florida faces No. 7 seed UAH.

Saint Leo earned the No. 1-seed in the South Region and will host No. 4 AUM, No. 5 Tampa, and No. 8 Spring Hill.

Montevallo is set to take on No. 3-seed West Alabama on Thursday, March 14. First pitch at the UWF Softball Complex is set for 3:30 p.m. CST.
