DAHLONEGA, Ga. - It was a back and forth battle between the North Georgia Nighthawks and the Montevallo Falcons Saturday afternoon, but with less than a minute to go, the Nighthawks held a seven point lead. However, a miraculous final minute by Troran Brown sent the game into overtime, where Montevallo emerged victorious, 101-94.
For most of the first half, the Falcons held the lead. At one point, holding an eight point advantage over the Nighthawks.
At halftime, though, North Georgia had come back to even the score and entered the locker room tied with the #12 team in the country.

The second half started out in a similar fashion to the first, with neither team able to gain a considerable advantage over the other.

Brown answered back with a three-pointer for the Falcons to cut the lead to four. Da-Juan Cooper then recorded a block on the defensive end of the floor, giving the Falcons the ball back.
Down four with just 27 seconds to go, Brown hit another three-pointer, but this time, he also drew a foul. He drained the free throw to even the score.
Montevallo came up with one more defensive stop to send the game to overtime.
In the extra time, the Falcons pulled away on the heels of a big Cooper dunk, a Ryan May three, and solid free throw shooting by Brown and Shykeem Jackson.
