HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons jumped out to an early 4-0 lead on the visiting Eagles. Reinhardt was able to get on the board at the 18:09 mark to bring the score to 4-1.
Montevallo was able to cruise out to an eight point lead in the first half and led 11-3 with 4:33 left to play. Jessica Culver scored the Falcons final goal of the half that capped a six goal run for Montevallo.
The Eagles closed out the half with a run of their own, scoring three goals in the half's final four minutes to close the Falcons' lead to 11-6.
In the second half the Eagles went on the attack and scored the half's first goals to cut into the Falcons' lead.
With 24:36 left to play in the half, Jami Hudak scored to put the Falcons ahead 14-8.
The Eagles went on a six goal run to tie the game at 14-14 before taking a 15-14 lead with 7:55 left to play.
The Falcons rallied back with a goal by Maddie Ellis to knot the game back up at 15-15.
The Eagles went on to close out the game with three more goals to cap off their late game rally 18-15.
STAT OF THE GAME
Jami Hudak and Samantha Farrell both scored a hat trick for the Falcons. Hudak found the back of the net five times this afternoon and Farrell three times.
