HOW IT HAPPENED
- Shorter used a four goal run to open the game to take an early 4-0 lead over Montevallo.
- The Falcons finally got on the board in the 15th minute off an unassisted goal from Maddie Ellis. Montevallo trailed Shorter 4-1.
- Montevallo and Shorter exchanged goals for the rest of the first half. The Hawks' Crystal Marshall scored the final goal of the half as Shorter took a 9-4 lead into the break.
- The Falcons struck first in the second half on an unassisted goal from Lexie Wright in the 33rd minute. Montevallo trailed the Hawks 9-5.
- The Falcons and the Hawks exchanged goals for the rest of the half. Montevallo was outscored 7-6 in the second half with the Falcons scoring the final goal of the game. Jami Hudak scored the final goal in the 60th minute. The Hawks claimed the 16-10 victory over the Falcons.
