HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons and the Chargers exchanged goals to begin the game with Alabama-Huntsville striking first. Montevallo responded with their goal in the second minute to tie the game at 1-1.
- Montevallo scored twice in the first half as the Chargers took a 13-2 lead into the locker room. The second goal for the Falcons occurred in the 16th minute of play. Lexie Wright found the back of the net for the Falcons to stop a five goal run by the Chargers. Alabama-Huntsville ended the half on a seven goal run to give them 13 goals at the break.
- In the second half Montevallo opened up with a goal in the 33rd minute to cut the lead to 13-3 on an unassisted goal from Jessica Culver.
- The Chargers went on a five goal run to take an 18-3 lead over the Falcons late in the game.
- The Falcons closed out the match with a pair of goals to give them five for the night. Maddie Ellis and Lexie Wright both scored unassisted goals to cut the Chargers lead to 18-5.
