Box Score MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo women's lacrosse team clinched a sweep of visiting Shorter University this season following a 18-7 win over the Hawks in a Gulf South Conference match April 7.
Junior Jami Hudak and freshman Nicole Pahnke scored five goals each in the victory for the Falcons, who improved to 8-6 overall and 3-3 in conference play.
Hudak also contributed two assists.
Freshman Caleigh Spoon registered three goals and one assist. Sophomore Meghan Shea finished with two goals.
Sophomore Janey Johnson, who contributed a team-high five assists, sophomore Alyssa Kaminski and freshman Julia Atkinson chipped in one goal each.
Junior Irfana Ahmed finished with 12 saves in the match.

1st (00:45) | Freshman Nicole Pahnke scored a goal off an assist from Meghan Shea in the final minute of the opening half to cap a 8-0 scoring run by the Falcons to close the half, giving Montevallo a 12-3 lead at the break.
2nd (27:31) | Pahnke scored the first goal in the second half to give Montevallo its first double-digit lead in the contest.
2nd (19:04) | Johnson scored an unassisted goal with 19:04 left in the match, which capped a 4-0 scoring run by the Falcons midway through the second half.
2nd (8:45) | Freshman Caleigh Spoon capped the scoring for the Falcons with an unassisted goal, which gave Montevallo a 12-goal lead.
