MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo women's soccer team is holding steady in the 5th spot in the Week Three NCAA South Region Rankings that came out this week.

Montevallo shut out Christian Brothers University in the first round of the Gulf South Conference Soccer Championship on Tuesday, November 12th. The falcons picked up a pair of goals early in the first half. With the win, the Falcons advance to the semi-final where they will face the sixth-seed, West Florida.

Montevallo is one of five Gulf South Conference teams to be ranked this week.  Mississippi College, Lee University, West Alabama and West Florida join Montevallo as a top-8 team in the South Region.

Montevallo goes into the semi-final with a record of 13-3-3. They return to action on Friday, November 15th with a 5:00 pm kick-off against West Florida at Ashton Brosnaham Park in Pensacola, Florida.
