Montevallo is 1-2-2 all-time against the Panthers

Last Meeting: The Falcons and Panthers last met on August 31st 2018 in a neutral site contest, resulting in a 2-2 draw.

Streaks: The current streak in the series is two draws by each side. Prior to the two ties, Florida Tech won two consecutive games from 2008-09.
 
Series Notes: The Falcons only win in the series was the first meeting all-time on Sept. 10th 2006. Montevallo topped Florida Tech 1-0 at home.
 



NEWS AND NOTES
  • The Falcons enter their final non-conference match of the season 1-1-2 as they play host to the Florida Tech University Panthers. 
  • Montevallo is coming off its first win of the season and the first career win for Head Coach Jake Wyman. The Falcons topped Tampa 3-0 and tied No. 23 St. Leo 1-1 this past weekend at the Columbus State Collegiate Invitational Tournament.
  • Florida Tech enters the matchup on a two-game winning streak following road wins against Gulf South Conference opponents Union and Auburn-Montgomery.
  • The Panthers are 1-0-1 in road contests this season while they 0-2-0 at home. The Falcons are 0-1-1 at home, still seeking their first home win. Montevallo has yet to play a true road game, but the Falcons are 1-0-1 in neutral site matches.

TEAM LEADERS

MONTEVALLO
  • Annie Mason leads the Falcons defensively this season with 22 saves and only one goal allowed. Mason is the GSC leader in goals against average (.290), save percentage (.957) and is tied for the lead in the GSC in shut outs (2). Mason has twice been named the GSC Defender of the Week this season.
  • The Falcons offensive attack is led by a group of five players that all scored one goal this season. Senior Tylor Ring, juniors Kira Bochard and Alye Darnell, sophomore Melanie Stevens, and freshman Kaeri Ward have all found the back-of-the-net once this season.
  • Ward leads the Falcons in shots-on-goal with five so far. Sophomore Medhali Hernandez has put up a team-leading 18 shots this season.
  • Stevens, along with juniors Hannah Waki and Christiane Malone make up a back line that has played over 1,100 minutes this season. Waki leads the way with 380 minutes so far. The Falcons defense, along with the keeper Mason, has only allowed one goal to NCAA Division II opponents this season.
 
FLORIDA TECH
  • The Panthers are led by Maria Munoz who leads Florida Tech with three goals.
  • On the defensive end, Maria Recuero Sanchez has totaled 15 saves and only allowed two goals this season.
