BIRMINGHAM, Ala - The Gulf South Conference announced the members of its All-Decade Baseball Team on Tuesday, which included former catcher
Tyler Krabbe representing Montevallo.
In his time at Montevallo, Krabbe led the conference in homeruns (17), RBI's (65), slugging (.708), total bases (143), and finished second in doubles (21).
During his career he hit 31 homeruns, with 150 RBI's and a .546 slugging percentage.
His success on the field gained him multiple awards and honors including 2019 First Team All-GSC, NCBWA All-American Honorable Mention, NCBWA All-South Region First Team, D2CCA All-South Region First Team, and ABCA All-South Region Second Team honors.
The Cincinnati, Ohio native also excelled in the classroom earning multiple academic accolades during his career including 2016 PBC Presidential Scholar, GSC All-Academic Team, and a 2x GSC Academic Honor Roll honoree.
At the conclusion of his Falcon career, Krabbe went on to be a 19
th round draft pick by the Houston Astros in the 2019 MLB Draft.
