BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference Board of Directors has approved a revised schedule for the 2021 GSC Indoor Track & Field Championships.
 
The event will be condensed to a one-day meet, taking place on Tuesday, February 16 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama. Competition will begin at 10:00 a.m. CT and will end with the 4x400m relays at 5:25 p.m. CT.
 
2021 GSC INDOOR TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS SCHEDULE
 
Normally a two-day meet, the event has shifted to the one-day format for 2021 to continue to prioritize student-athlete health and well-being during the ongoing pandemic.
 
Indoor Track & Field is categorized as an intermediate transmission risk sport by the NCAA, and participants will follow the NCAA testing recommendations that align with that designation level.
 
At the facility, universal masking will be required by everyone except for the student-athletes who are either actively warming up or competing for their event.
 
There will be no fans allowed at the meet, but there will be a live stream of the event provided by the GSC through our partners at FloSports. A subscription will be required to watch. More information will be released on the video stream in the coming days.
