COLUMBUS, Ga. - The Falcons closed out the 2nd and final round of the Lady Cougar Invitational in Columbus, Georgia with an eight shot improvement from the first round. Montevallo carded a 2nd round (+30) 318 to come in a tie for fourth place with Trevecca in the event.

Kayla Shelton finished her round with back to back birdies en route to a strong finish and final round of (+2) 74. Shelton's eight shot improvement between her first and second rounds saw her jump way up the leaderboard as well. After a first round (+8) 80, Shelton was in a tie for 12th place before jumping all the way up to a top five finish coming in a tie for 4th place on the week with a total score of (+10) 154.

Macall Miller traveled as an individual for the week for Montevallo. Miller carded a solid opening round of (+3) 75 before finishing the tournament with (+9) 81. Miller's two round total of 156 (+12) gave her a top 10 finish with a solo 9th place finish.Â

Sophomore
Avery Pool was 3rd on the week for the Falcons. Pool's two round total of 78-83, 161 (+17), came in a tie for 15th place in the second event of the spring for Montevallo.

Bernardita Villalba finished in a tie for 22nd place in Columbus, Georgia. Villalba carded a first round (+13) 85 before improving four shots in the 2nd round and finishing off her week with a (+9) 81 and a two round finish of (+22) 166.Â

Canadian native
Alicia Easthope finished off her week with a 2nd a final round of (+11) 83 after a first round 83 as well. Easthope's consecutive rounds of 83 finished off her week with a (+22) 166 and a tie for 22nd place.

Emma Perier rounded out the starting five in Columbus for Montevallo this week. Perrier's 87-80 in the two rounds gave her a finishing score of (+23) 167 in the tournament. She finished in a tie for 24th place.

Danielle Buompastore and Erica Fuerhelm traveled with
Macall Miller as individuals for the week as well. Buompastore's two rounds of 89-89 gave her a finish of solo 33rd place. Fuerhelm carded rounds of 83-96 for a solo 34th place finish.
