BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Montevallo women's track and field program put together a solid display of their talent across multiple events, Sunday at the Crossplex during the KMS Invite.
"We had a few personal bests after another great weekend," said head coach
Tommy Barksdale. "We know we still have work to do but I am proud of the way the kids competed."
Amber Fisher was Montevallo's top finishers for the day, securing a third place finish in the 3K with a time of 10:43.88. Fisher along with
Courtney Keeler,
Caroline Hendon, and
Abby Snyder joined forces in the medley relay for a time of 14:02.49 to take third place.
Freshman
Skylar Suggitt was Montevallo's top finisher in the pole vault, claiming third place with a 3.35m mark. The Falcons dropped several school records such as the 60m record that was reestablished by
Kylie Carroll with a time of 7.85. Nyla Shipman also reset a UM record with a 16.07 distance in the weight throw.
UP NEXT: The Falcons will head to Johnson City, Tennessee to take on the ETSU Buccanneer Invitational on Friday, February 4th through Saturday, February 5th.
