MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo Track and Field opens the 2026 outdoor season on Saturday, Mar. 7, as the Falcons compete in the Berry College Victor Icebreaker Duals in Mt. Berry, Ga.
Montevallo closed the indoor season strong, with a pair of fourth place finishes for the men and women at the Gulf South Conference Indoor Championships. Nine Falcons garnered ten podium finishes, eight school records were broken, one school record was tied, and two indoor provisional marks were achieved at the Indoor Championships.
Five Falcons were named on the GSC Indoor Second Team All-GSC list this week, including Drew Cheslock (Men's Triple Jump), Jeremiah Fails (Men's Long Jump), Cesleigh Martin (Women's Shot Put), Jack Pesarchick (Men's High Jump), and Zak Ferguson (Men's One Mile).
The Falcons look to build on that momentum heading into the outdoor season. Montevallo placed fourth on the men's and women's side in last year's GSC Outdoor Championships. The Falcons field many returners that garnered All-Conference and All-Region outdoor honors last season.
Returning All-Conference outdoor performers include Katie Wilkerson (Women's Discus, Women's Javelin Throw), Leah Dendy (Women's Pole Vault), Corey Perkins (Men's Long Jump), and Eran Foye Jr. (Men's High Jump).
Returning USTFCCCA All-Region outdoor performers include Wilkerson (Women's Discus), Dendy (Women's Pole Vault), Hallie Harrell (Women's Heptathlon), Perkins (Men's Long Jump), Foye Jr. (Men's High Jump), Slate Rohrer (60m Hurdles), and Austin Abney (Men's Decathlon).
Action on Saturday is set to begin at 8:45 a.m. CST in Mt. Berry, Ga.
