INDIANAPOLIS – The Montevallo women's soccer team is ranked sixth in the NCAA South Region rankings, released Wednesday, while remaining in the United Soccer Coaches South Region Poll for the eighth-consecutive week.
The Falcons finished the regular season 12-2-3 overall and have the second-most points of any team ranked in the region.
Montevallo is one of four GSC schools ranked in the region as West Florida is No. 4, Mississippi College is No. 5 and Lee is No. 8.
This past weekend the Falcons clinched a No. 4 seed in the conference tournament with a win over Valdosta State and a tie to West Georgia.
Montevallo will host Lee in the GSC Quarterfinals on Sunday Oct. 30 at 3:30 p.m. at Varsity Field.
