MONTEVALLO, Ala. – University of Montevallo volleyball's Sav Roys and men's cross country's
Joe Leventry have been named Montevallo Players of the Week for the week of Nov. 7.
Sav Roys (Volleyball)
Roys eclipsed 3,000 career assists in the Falcons final regular season match against Mississippi College on Friday, Nov. 4. The fifth-year senior tallied 56 assists, 13 digs and a six service aces during Montevallo's two-game road trip. In the Falcons' win over West Alabama, Roys notched 27 assists, four aces and seven digs en route to a 3-1 victory over the Tigers. Roys had another big performance against Mississippi College with 27 assists, six digs and a pair of aces. With the third point in the second set of the match, Roys recorded their 3,000 th career assist after a kill from Jillian Morgan.
Joe Leventry (Men's Cross Country)
Leventry was the lone Montevallo athlete to earn a First Team All-GSC honor at the 2022 Gulf South Conference Cross Country Championship. The graduate student posted a ninth-place time of 24:11.40 for his fourth All-Conference award.
