Kaeri Ward named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Women's Soccer Academic All-District team.

Burkey, a graduate student from Lincoln, Nebraska, was named to the All-District squad after a season that saw the midfielder score four goals on five shots on goal with 17 total shots in her 1,155 minutes of action. Academically, Burkey posted a 3.875 cumulative GPA in her psychology courses.
Campbell, a senior out of Richland, Washington, earned the honor for the first time in her career after posting a cumulative GPA of 3.957 en route to a degree in Biology while playing nearly every minute in her 20 starts during the 2023 campaign. Campbell scored just one goal on the pitch wit the defender taking just six shots all season.
Hounsell proved to be one of the Gulf South Conference's top keepers during the season with a total of eight clean sheets, leading the senior to a 9-4-2 record in 2023. The Brighton, England native tallied a 3.710 GPA in their psychology courses.
Raphelt, a junior biology major, earned her way onto the academic squad after posting a 3.877 GPA in her undergraduate courses. The Brandon, Mississippi native totaled nine shots on goal with 23 total shots for one goal and one assists during the 2023 season.
Taube, a now two-time CSC Academic All-District selection, found her way onto the squad after scoring a trio of goals on four shots on frame with nine total shots while playing 1,451 minutes in the back line. Academically, the graduate student posted a 3.746 cumulative GPA in her sociology program.
Ward, the Falcons' leading scorer, tallied five goals on 11 shots on target with 27 total shots and one assist for a total of 11 points. The graduate student also tallied two game winners while posting a 3.845 GPA in her accounting program to earn her second-consecutive CSC All-District selection.
For consideration for the CSC Academic All-District teams, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically while posting a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher while competing in at least 90 percent of the team's contests or start in at least 66 percent of the team's contests. Eligible nominees are immediately entered in the CSC Academic All-America voting with the All-America team set to be released on Wednesday, Dec. 20.
