BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Montevallo women's soccer graduate Kaeri Ward garnered as a 2023 All-GSC Second Team midfielder after a season that saw Ward start 16 of the Falcons' 17 contests.

As the lone Falcon selected to the All-Conference team, Ward has tallied a total of 1,083 minutes played in 17 games with 16 starts. Until the final game of the regular season, Ward led the Falcons' attack with four goals on eight shots on goal while adding an assist for a total of nine points in the 2023 season. Ward also scored the game-winning goal on her lone penalty attempt in Montevallo's shutout victory over Union on Oct. 20. In the midfield, Ward helped to lead the Falcons to the fourth most shutouts in the nation with 10 clean sheets on the season.
 
Ward and the rest of the Falcons head into the 2023 GSC Tournament with a home matchup against fifth-seeded Union on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 5 p.m.
