Egorshin Named PBC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference has named freshman keeper Alex Egorshin the PBC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week after a standout performance against No. 7 University of Indianapolis.

Egorshin set a new Montevallo men's lacrosse record with a 28-save performance in the net for the Falcons. The Hoover, Ala. native faced 61 shots from the Greyhounds while holding the No. 7-ranked team in Div. II to a season-low 12 goals for a .700 save percentage. His 28 saves fall two shy of the Peach Belt record for second in conference history. The freshman leads the league in saves per game (14.00) and ranks third in goals against average (12.29) and save percentage (.574).

Egorshin and the rest of the Falcon squad will be back in action on Tuesday, Feb. 28 to take on Davenport at 7 p.m.
