Falcons Finish Seventh in 16-Team Field at Limestone Low Tide Invitational

Mt. Pleasant, S.C. – The Montevallo women's golf team posted a seventh-place finish at the Limestone Low Tide Intercollegiate Invitational in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Tuesday.
 
The Falcons placed seventh in a 16-team field that featured three Division-II Mizuno WCGA Coaches Poll Top-25 opponents.
 
Montevallo placed a pair in the top-20 as Madison Rincon and Paulina Bermejo each posted a tied-18th finish at 11-over par with a 227 three-round total.
 
Caterina Oliveri finished tied for 24th at 13-over to add another Falcon in the top-25 of a 92-player field.
 
Montevallo opened the tournament in seventh place after turning in a 306-team total for round one. In round two, UM shot a tournament-best 302 to move up to sixth before totaling 310 in the final round to finish seventh at 54-over, 918.  
 
The Falcons finished the tournament just 13 shots behind Lander who is ranked No. 17 in the WGCA Coaches Poll.

  • Montevallo finished the 16-team tournament in seventh and competed alongside three top-25 ranked teams.
  • The Falcons opened the tournament in seventh, moved up to sixth, and dropped back to seventh throughout the three-round event.
  • Montevallo and West Georgia were the only GSC teams in the field.
  • The Falcons posted three top-25 individuals in the 92-player field.
