GREENWOOD, Ind. – The College Sports Communicators have named seven Montevallo track and field athletes to the 2023 CSC Academic All-District teams with women's track and field earning four spots while the men took three awards.

Courtney Keeler,
Nautica Swain, and
Ana Watters highlighted the women's side while
Esclavon Prewitt,
Drew Roberts and Aleister Self were the trio of men recognized.
Fisher, a junior from Thornton, Ontario, Canada, posted 4.0 GPA in her Mathematics courses while setting new personal bests in the 1,500-meter, 5,000-meter, and the mile over the course of both indoor and outdoor seasons. Keeler, the 2023 GSC Outdoor Track and Field Championship Scholar Athlete, was selected to the All-District squad after setting six new personal records during 2022-23 while holding a 3.974 GPA in her chemistry program. Swain was named Academic All-District after finishing second in the javelin at the GSC Championships with a 3.723 GPA on her way to a marketing degree. Watters, a junior from Helena, Ala., earned her way onto the All-District team after posting a 3.957 GPA in her exercise and nutrition science courses during a season that saw Watters set personal bests in the 10,000 and the 3,000-meter races.
In his senior season, Prewitt earned the academic honor after a season that saw the Tuscaloosa, Ala. native tally nine top-10s while earning a 3.893 GPA as a mass communications major. Roberts, a Mobile, Ala. native, received the All-District nod after posting a 3.934 GPA in his mass communications courses during a season that saw the junior set three personal bests in the 10,000, 5,000 and the 3,000-meter races. Self was named Academic All-District after earning a 3.791 GPA in his elementary education program during a season that saw the junior post three personal records in the sprints.
The 2023 Academic All-District® Men's Track & Field / Cross Country Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom. The CSC Academic AllAmerica® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic AllAmerica® honorees will be announced June 29.
