MONTEVALLO, AL. – For the second consecutive season, the Montevallo Women's Golf team has won the Full Moon Invitational.
Defending champion
Caterina Oliveri led the way once again, finishing first at three-over for the two-round event.
The Montevallo A team, comprised of
Kaylee Ehret,
Madison Rincon,
Caterina Oliveri and
Denise Paulsson and
Meredith Bennett built a sizeable lead in round one with a combined score of two over. In round two, the squad was able to hold on and win by 16 strokes at 17-over after carding a 15-over total on Tuesday.
Oliveri scored even-par in round one and carded a three-over 74 in the final round to take the win.
Rincon stayed steady on day two and shot her second 73 of the week to finish in second at four-over.
Bennett bounced back on day two with a round of even par to move up the leaderboard to third overall at five-over. Bennett was one of just two players in the 38-person field to shoot even or better in the final round.
Five Falcons finished in the top ten. Outside of the abovementioned three,
Paulina Bermejo led the B team with a tied-fifth finish at seven-over
Ehret, the tournament leader after round one, dropped on day two but finished tied-ninth at nine-over.

Individual Highlights
- Caterina Oliveri finished in first place with a two-round total of three-over to defend her 2022 title.

- Madison Rincon finished at four-over in second place.
- Kaylee Ehret finished tied for the most birdies in the field at six.
- Bennett finished with a field-best 27 pars and did not make a double-bogey or worse.

- Montevallo's A team earned the team title at 17-over for the second consecutive season.
- The Falcons finished 16 shots ahead of West Florida, the tournament's runner-up.
- Four of Montevallo's A team participants finished in the top-10.
- The A team combined for 118 pars and 18 birdies on the week.
