MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete in the annual Falcon Classic on Sept. 15. The women's 5K will begin at 7:30 p.m. and the men's 8K following at 8:15 p.m.

Montevallo Men
The men will look to build off an impressive fourth place finish to start the season.
Drew Roberts cracked the top-10 with a time of 15:44.00. The senior from Mobile, Ala. is looking to beat his personal best time of 25:50.5 at the Falcon Classic.
At the Foothills Invitational,
Josh Stidfole and
Nathaniel Loving were able to place inside the top-20 for the Falcons with times of 16:04.90 and 16:05.80.
As a team, Montevallo finished in second place behind Alabama-Huntsville in the Falcon Classic last season, while finishing ahead of Columbus State, West Alabama and Union inside the top five.
Montevallo Women
The women, who were picked seventh in the GSC Cross Country Preseason Poll, finished in seventh in the first event of the season.
Amber Fisher was the top finisher for the Falcons as she ran a 15:25.60. The senior from Canada is seeking to beat her personal best time of 19:18.34 at the Falcon Classic which she set her sophomore season,
Junior
Natalie Warner was right behind Fisher to begin the season with a time of 15:31.90 at the Foothills Invitational while
Abby Snyder race a time of 15:52.60.
At a team, like the men, the women placed second a season ago in the Falcon Classic finishing ahead of Union, Columbus State and West Georgia inside the top five.
