Box Score CLEVELAND, Tenn. – Despite career performances from a pair of Falcons newcomers, the University of Montevallo men's basketball team fell to Lee, 93-68, Saturday, on the road.

Cole Maddox, a junior, each turned in career performances for Montevallo despite the loss.
Sexton, who earned his 13
th start of the year scored 11 points for his third double-digit scoring game and led the Falcons on the boards with a season-high 11 rebounds for his first double-double.
Maddox made his fifth appearance for UM since joining the team from Wallace State Community College in early January. He scored a career-high 20 points of the bench in 19 minutes played. The Cullman, Alabama native finished 6-of-9 from the field, 1-of-2 from three, and a perfect 7-of-7 from the free-throw line.
Montevallo opened the game on an early 7-1 run behind two second-chance buckets and a three-pointer from
Jack Henderson. Lee responded with a 10-0 run to jump ahead 11-7 before
Cole Maddox added a layup for the Falcons. The Flames jumped ahead by as many as 14 in the first half. With 1:41 to go,
Aidan Gardiner cut the deficit to 11 from the free-throw line, however, Lee added a pair from the charity stripe to lead by 13 at the break.
In the second half, Montevallo began hot offensively with seven points in the first 2:33, but the Flames stayed in front 46-34. Lee's lead was cut to as little as 10 following a jumper from Cam Glover at the 14:30 mark. 50-40, but the home side surged to as much as a 25-point lead down the stretch.

1st | Lee outscored the Falcons 40-27 in the first half. Montevallo shot 41 percent from three in the first half, 5-of-12, but the Flames were 6-of-14 and added eight points from the free-throw line. Montevallo shot just 37 percent from the field overall while Lee shot 52 percent.
Jack Henderson led UM with eight points and midyear transfer
Cole Maddox added a career-high seven off the bench.
2nd | Montevallo's offense surpassed its first-half point total with 41 in the second but was outscored by 12 in the frame by Lee. The Flames shot 61 percent in the second half while Montevallo shot 35 percent.
GAME NOTES
- Tyson Sexton recorded his first double-double of the year and the third by a Falcon this season with 11 points and a team-leading season-high 11 rebounds.
- Midyear transfer Cole Maddox, in just his fifth game with the Falcons, led the team with 20 points and went 7-of-7 from the free-throw line.
- Montevallo made a season-low seven three-pointers, which snapped a streak of 10 or more in the last six games.
- The Falcons won the turnover battle 14-13. Saturday's loss is just the second time this season UM has lost when winning the turnover battle.
- Lee shot 57 percent from the field—the second-highest mark allowed by UM this season. Montevallo shot just 35.3 percent—the second-lowest field goal percentage of the year.
