MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo men's and women's swimming teams are ready to compete against Millsaps College on Saturday, Oct. 12, in Jackson, MS.
The Falcons are currently 4-0 against the Majors as the men's team defeated Millsaps 183-55 on Oct. 14. The women picked up a victory as they downed the Majors 179-64.
At their previous meet, the men were tied for third at the Sewanee Relay Meet while the women came in fourth. Both the men's and women's teams finished in second in the 3x500 free relay.
Montevallo Men
Elijah Allen,
Mason Wood,
Aleksei Kolesnikov and
Alexander Kim finished in third-place in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:40.12. Montevallo picked up a podium finish in the 200-yard breaststroke relay with a time of 1:53.94. The team of
Jake Swan,
Connor Overstreet,
Enrique Llorens and
Mason Wood were in this group.
Montevallo Women
In the women's 200-yard medley relay, the team of
Petra Cajkas,
Hanna Persson,
Keara McGee and
Cypris Wilkinson swam the third fastest time in program history as they placed in third with a time of 1:54.51. In the women's 200-yard fly relay, UM placed in second with a time of 1:53.15 in a team that consisted of
Beth Balent,
Maja Krawczyk,
Gillian Chorrushi and
Keara McGee.
