MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Universtiy of Montevallo men's soccer forward Cristobal Porter and volleyball's Danielle Greene have been named Montevallo Players of the Week presented by Jacks for the week of Oct. 7.

CRISTOBAL PORTER (Men's Soccer)
In Montevallo's 2-0 week on the pitch, Porter scored a pair of goals on seven shots with four shots on goal to go along with an assist for a total of five points on the weekend. The red-shirt freshman scored the game winner in the final minute to give the Falcons a 1-0 win over West Alabama. The Falcons' leading goal scorer added a fourth goal of the season while adding a team-high sixth assist in Montevallo's 3-1 win over Alabama Huntsville on Sunday afternoon. Porter's six assists now lead the Gulf South Conference with his four goals ranking fourth in the league.

 
DANIELLE GREENE (Volleyball)
Greene tallied 22 kills, 18 blocks, and two assists in Montevallo's three games this past week. Against Mississippi College, the junior tallied seven kills on 16 attacks for a .313 hitting percentage while adding a pair of blocks. In a loss to West Florida, Greene set a season-high with eight blocks on the day while adding a pair of kills and an assist. Finally, the middle blocker set a career-high with 13 kills on 21 attacks for a .571 hitting mark in Montevallo's win over Valdosta State. She also matched a career-high with eight blocks while adding an assist in the Falcons' most recent contest.
