MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo women's soccer ranks third in the NCAA South Region Rankings in the final set of rankings before the NCAA Selection Show on Monday, Nov. 18.

The Falcons' third-place regional ranking comes after Montevallo defeated seventh-seeded Mississippi College, 4-3, in a comeback effort in the first round of the Gulf South Conference Tournament. Montevallo sits as the second-highest GSC team with an overall record of 11-4-3 with the Falcons boasting an 11-3-2 in-region record. Montevallo is one of four GSC teams named in the rankings behind No. 2 West Florida and ahead of No. 4 Union and No. 7 Lee.
 
The NCAA will announce the six south region teams that will compete for the regional title on Monday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. during the Div. II Women's Soccer Selection Show.
 
Montevallo returns to the field on Friday, Nov. 15 to take on Union at 6 p.m. in the GSC Semifinals.
