Featured Falcons: Rilee and Bear Bradbury

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo women's soccer sibling duo Rilee and Bear Bradbury reunited on the bricks for a final season of soccer together.

As detailed in the first Featured Falcons story produced by Montevallo's Mass Communications department, the two sisters recount the story of growing up together and how their individual paths led them to Montevallo, Ala.

Out of high school, Rilee went on to play three seasons for Azusa Pacific, a Div. II program in Azusa, Ca. In her time career at Azusa Pacific, Bradbury was named to the All-PacWest Team following the 2021 season. The senior scored six goals and added four assists for a total of 16 points on 30 shots with 13 shots on goal. The eldest Bradbury sister scored a trio of game-winning goals including a pair in 2023.

Bear Bradbury spent her first two seasons at Troy University in Troy, Ala. In her freshman and sophomore years, Bear appeared in 30 games with 14 starts and a total of 1,410 minutes of action. The junior recorded three points in her Div. I career with one goal and one assist.

Rilee was the first to join Montevallo's squad after transferring before the spring 2024 semester with Bear following ahead of the fall semester. In their first season as Falcons, the sisters combined for 2,317 minutes of action with 32 starts between the two. Rilee has proven to be one of Montevallo's top assisters with five on the season to go along with a pair of goals for nine points in 2024. Bear's offensive performances feature a pair of points on two assists while her season has been spent as a defensive force in the Falcons' midfield.

The duo helped to lead the Falcons to a No. 2 seed in the Gulf South Conference Tournament with a 10-4-3 regular season record and a 9-2-1 mark in conference play.

Rilee and Bear head back out onto the field on Friday, Nov. 15 as the Falcons look to clinch a berth in the GSC Championship game with a semifinal matchup against third-seeded Union at 6 p.m.
