MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo men's and women's track and field teams return to action on Friday, Dec. 6, opening the new indoor season at the Birmingham Crossplex for the Birmingham Indoor Icebreaker.

Montevallo Men
The Montevallo men look to improve on a fourth-place finish at last year's GSC Indoor Championships.
The Falcons field many returners including
Walter Womack,
Brayden Marlowe, and
Caleb Kariuki. Womack won the long jump portion of the heptathlon at last year's GSC Indoor Championships. Marlowe won the shot portion of the heptathlon in the GSC championships. Kariuki broke the GSC indoor record in the long jump and captured first place. Kariuki was named to the First Team All-GSC Conference list for both triple jump and long jump.
Montevallo Women
The Montevallo women look to improve on a fifth-place finish at last year's GSC Indoor Championships.
The Falcons field multiple returners including First Team All-GSC honoree
Emily Wolf who set a personal record in the shot put to take first place at the GSC Indoor Championships.
Leah Dendy also returns who earned second team All-GSC honors for the pole vault.
The rest of the indoor slate will see the Falcons compete at the UAB Blazer Invite (Jan. 11), Samford Multi (Jan. 16-17), Samford Invite (Jan. 17), Samford Open (Jan. 18), UAB Vulcan Invite (Feb. 7), and the UAB Green and Gold Invite (Feb. 8) during the regular season. The GSC Indoor Championships will take place in Livingston, Ala. on Mar. 8, followed by the NCAA Indoor Championships held in Indianapolis, Ind. (Mar. 13 – Mar. 15).
Action at the Birmingham Crossplex is set to start at 8:30 a.m. CST on Friday.
