MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo women's golf team will take part in its second tournament of the spring season, Monday, Feb. 19 and Tuesday, Feb. 20 in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
The Falcons will play at Robert Trent Jones at Hilton Head's Palmetto Dunes in the Battle at Hilton Head hosted by Lincoln Memorial and Barton.
In the first tournament of 2024, the Falcons placed tied-13th with
Madison Rincon leading the way in a tie for 20
th. With her score of 11-over in the event, Rincon was named the Gulf South Conference Player of the Week.
The Falcons are currently ranked No. 33 in NCAA Division II by Clippd.com through five total events between the fall and spring.
Rincon is UM's highest-ranked golfer by Clippd.com at No. 109 in all of Division II. She has one top-three finish on the year and a 74.4 stroke average.
