HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The University of Montevallo women's golf team placed third in the Battle at Hilton Head, Tuesday, in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
The Falcons placed third in a field of 18 teams and featured three top 20 finishers with all five in the top 50.
Paulina Bermejo led the way at seven over through two rounds to finish tied sixth.
Montevallo shot 312 as a team in the opening round but dropped six strokes in the second round to move up to third in the final standings.

Individual Highlights
- Junior Paulina Bermejo finished tied-sixth to lead UM at seven-over with a round score of 74 and 75.
- Kaylee Ehret joined Bermejo in the top-15 as she finished tied-14th at 10-over.
Team Highlights
- Montevallo finished third out of 18.
- Montevallo was one of three Gulf South Conference schools to compete in the event, finishing ahead of Shorter and Christian Brothers.
