BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – University of Montevallo women's golf's
Madison Rincon has been named the Gulf South Conference Co-Golfer of the Week, as announced by the league office, Thursday.
A native of Palm Desert, California, Rincon finished tied-20th at the World Golf Invitational, at 11-over par.
Rincon shot 77, 74 and 76 during the three-round event at Slammer and Squire at World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Florida.
This is the juniors' first Golfer of the Week award this season.
Rincon shares the Golfer of the Week award with West Florida's Alex Seppanen after both golfers placed t-20
th at the World Golf Invitational.
Rincon and the Falcons will return to action Feb. 19, in the Battle at Hilton Head, hosted by Barton and Lincoln Memorial, at Hilton Head's Palmetto Dunes in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
