BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Montevallo track and field teams continued the weekend with multiple top ten finishes and personal records at the Samford Invite on Friday.
The Falcons faced off against tough competition, as the field consisted of many NCAA DI schools including Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State, Samford, and UAB.
On the men's side
Gabe Gamble saw the best individual finish (place), placing seventh in the Men's Triple Jump (13.66m). Two other Falcons garnered top-ten finishes, as
Corey Perkins finished eighth in the Men's Long Jump (6.90m – PR) and Eran Foye placed ninth in the Men's High Jump (1.87m).
Zane Weeks saw a personal record of 14.15m in the Men's Weight Throw.
On the women's side
Emily Wolf had a solid day with a pair of top-ten finishes, placing fourth in the Women's Weight Throw (15.68m) and ninth in the Women's Shot Put (12.71m).
Khila Corrothers placed ninth in the Women's Long Jump, seeing a personal record of 5.32m.
Zauren Burton placed tenth in the Women's High Jump (1.61m).
The Falcons compete one more time this week, closing the weekend at the Samford Open tomorrow.
