After opening the season at Converse, Montevallo heads to Emmanuel on Feb. 2 before the Falcons' home opener on Feb. 7 against Lynn. Montevallo remains in central Alabama on Feb. 9 when Embry-Riddle comes to town. On Valentine's Day, Head Coach Adrianna Piontek's squad takes on Tusculum on the road before heading to Mars Hill on Feb. 16. The Falcons close the three-game road trip on March 1 when the Falcons head to Young Harris. Montevallo returns home for a matchup with McKendree on March 9 before hosting Thomas More on March 11. The Falcons then head to south Florida for a pair of road games at Rollins and Palm Beach Atlantic. Montevallo opens GSC action on March 31 when the Falcons host Alabama Huntsville before heading to Lee on April 6. The Falcons then head to Flagler on April 12 before closing the regular season with a home matchup against Lander on April 19.

With the completion of the 2025 regular season, the Gulf South Conference Tournament begins with semifinal games set for April 25 with the championship bout scheduled for April 27.

"Preseason's gone really well. I think one thing that the girls have done a great job of is bring a lot of energy every day so it's been a lot of fun to be out there even you know amidst some adversity of Alabama snow days which we're not quite used to but yeah I think you know they're excited to be out there every day and it shows," said Head Coach Adrianna Piontek.

Ahead of the start of the 2025 season, the Gulf South Conference released its annual Preseason Coaches' Poll alongside the 2025 Newcomer Watchlist with Montevallo's Bridget Quayle and Samantha Taylor named as newcomers to watch.

The 2025 Preseason Coaches' Poll mirrored the Falcons' finish from a season ago with Montevallo voted fifth in the preseason poll behind Flagler (1st), Alabama Huntsville (2nd), Lander (3rd) and Lee (4th).

A season ago, Montevallo averaged 10.07 goals per game on 19.00 shots per game while adding 4.00 assists per game for a total of 14.07 points per game. Defensively, the Falcons forced an average of 7.87 turnovers per game and tallied 13.53 ground balls. In the net, Montevallo ranked second in the GSC with an average of 9.33 saves per game while averaging 12.87 draw controls per game.

"…It's just one game at a time and no matter the opponent, we want to go out
and put our best foot forward," said Piontek.

Individually, Montevallo's 2024 edition was led by Ellery Shearer on the offensive end with a total of 39 points on 34 goals and five assists while also scoring 11 free-position goals on 19 free-position shots. The attacker's debut season at Montevallo earned her the 2024 GSC Freshman of the Year honor as just the second Falcon to win a GSC superlative award in the program's history.

The Falcons also returned Kiley Shea, a senior midfielder out of Hoover, Ala. The senior finished second on the team with 30 goals while adding eight assists for a total of 38 points. Shea also tallied nine free-position goals and led Montevallo with 42 draw controls in 2024.

Madison Sobolewski returns as one of the Falcons' top defensive threats with a team-high 21 caused turnovers in 2024 while also grabbing 15 ground balls and 19 draw controls.

The 2024 offseason saw the Falcons add six new faces to the roster, highlight by GSC Newcomer Watchlist selections Bridget Quayle and Sam Taylor.

Quayle, a midfielder out of Reno, Nev., joins Montevallo after being named All-State in all four years of her high school career while scoring 67 goals and adding 21 assists in her senior season. Taylor, a defender from Surrey, B.C., Canada, joins the Falcons after playing four seasons at Brookswood Secondary School and earning the Langley Minor Lacrosse Player of the Year award in 2022.

"I'd say all of our freshmen this year have actually been doing really good. It's really hard to transfer into that high school ball into a college level but seeing them grow into the players that they are and what they like to do on the field off the field it's really great to see them grow into amazing players and I'm having a great time playing with them," said Chloe Norman.
