BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference has named
Ayla Ertekin as the 2025 GSC Freshman of the Year with
Lara Brewis,
Morgan Goehring,
Lainey Farabaugh,
Madysen Legere and
Bear Bradbury joining as members of the 2025 All-Conference teams.

Montevallo saw a total of six all-conference selections with
Lara Brewis,
Morgan Goehring and
Lainey Farabaugh earning First Team honors while
Madysen Legere,
Bear Bradbury and
Ayla Ertekin added Second Team selections.
Ertekin's Freshman of the Year honor marks the second for the Falcons in the last four seasons. The Anchorage, Alaska native was named GSC Freshman of the Week three times this season and tallied a total of 10 points on four goals and two assists. The freshman also tallied a game-winning goal against Alabama Huntsville on Sept. 27 with a total of 33 shots on the season with 18 on target. Ertekin is Montevallo's first Freshman of the Year since Angelina Rivas in 2023.
Brewis was named a GSC First Team defender after starting all 17 games for the Falcons in the regular season and recording a total of 1,409 minutes played. The Sydney, Australia native tallied one goal on the season against Spring Hill on Oct. 25 and fired a total of six shots with two on frame. Brewis helped to lead Montevallo's defense to a total of nine clean sheets on the season including five straight to open the conference season.
Goehring's second-consecutive First Team All-GSC nod follows a season that saw the junior score 17 points on five goals with seven assists in 16 starts and 1,272 minutes played. The Yorba Linda, Ca. native fired a total of 40 shots on the season with 17 on frame while adding a pair of game-winning goals against Auburn Montgomery and Christian Brothers. Goehring was also named GSC Player of the Week back on Sept. 23. The junior ranks second in the GSC with her seven assists while her 17 points rank fourth overall.
Farabaugh's First Team All-Conference selection marks her second career All-GSC nod with a total of 18 points on the season on nine goals in her 17 starts with 1,142 minutes of action. The Altoona, Pa. native tallied a total of four game-winning goals on the season while taking 44 total shots with 19 on target. Farabaugh ranks fourth in the GSC with her nine goals, second in the league with her four game winners and fourth with 18 points.
Legere, a senior defender, tallied her first career all-conference selection as a member of the All-GSC second team after played 1,461 minutes in her 17 starts. The Corona, Ca. native fired a total of nine shots on the season with five on goal. Legere helped to lead the Falcons' defense to a total of nine shutouts while allowing an average of just 9.1 shots per game and just 4.3 shots on goal per game.
Bradbury, a senior transfer in her second year at Montevallo, was named Second Team All-GSC for her first career all-conference selection. The Covina, Ca. native has tallied a total of nine points on the season with three goals and three assists. The senior midfielder has started in all 17 of Montevallo 2025 contests with a total of 1,456 minutes of action. Bradbury's nine points rank fourth on the team while her three goals also rank fourth.
The Falcons head into the post season on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 4 pm. Against sixth-seeded Spring Hill.
