MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo Women's Soccer Head Coach
Jake Wyman has announced the addition of Batie Casey and Sierra Nickleberry, a pair of transfers, to the 2025 roster.
Casey, a sophomore transfer out of Stetson University, after spending her freshman season as part of the Hatters' women's soccer program. The Germantown, Tenn. native did not appear in a game at Div. I Stetson but joined the program after playing four seasons at St. Georges High School. In her high school career, Casey was named Memphis All-Metro First Team by two separate bodies while also earning a spot on the Tennessee State All-Star Team following the 2023 season. Casey holds a pair of St. Georges records with a total of 18 assists in a season while setting the record for most assists in a single game with four. The Falcons' new addition was a two-sport athlete in high school earning Casey a pair of All-Metro First Team honors as a tennis star at St. Georges. As a Falcon, Casey will continue her progress towards a Psychology degree.
Nickleberry joined the Falcons after spending two seasons at Azusa Pacific. At Azusa Pacific, the Fontana, Calif. native appeared in 18 games with three starts for a total of 660 minutes of action while recording two points on two assists. Prior to her time as a Cougar, Nickleberry spent four years at Etiwanda High School. At Montevallo, Nickleberry plans to continue her degree in Chemistry.
Casey and Nickleberry join Montevallo for the spring slate and will officially take to the field when soccer returns to central Alabama in the fall.
