Emily Wolf have been named Montevallo Players of the Week presented by Jacks for the week of March 10th.
Brandon Fussell (Men's Basketball)
On Saturday, March 8, during a game against Valdosta State in Birmingham, Ala., Fussell scored a game-high 28 points on 9-of-20 shooting from the floor and 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. He also grabbed six rebounds, recorded four steals, and added two assists in 39 minutes of action. Fussell was named a top championship performer when the Gulf South Conference (GSC) released its All-Tournament Team.
Throughout Montevallo's semifinal run, the sophomore guard from Guntersville, Ala., led the Falcons with an average of 24.0 points per game on 47.1-percent shooting from the floor and 63.6-percent shooting from three-point range. He also contributed 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.5 steals per game. In Montevallo's quarterfinal victory over sixth-seeded West Alabama on Tuesday, March 4, Fussell played all 40 minutes, scoring a team-high 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting and 3-of-4 from deep. He also added three assists, two rebounds, and a steal.
Emily Wolf (Women's Track and Field)
Sophomore Emily Wolf had a standout performance at the University of West Alabama's first outdoor meet of the season on Saturday, March 8, in Livingston, Ala. Wolf became the only Falcon to earn two top finishes.
She claimed first place in both the discus throw with a personal best of 44.24 meters and the hammer throw with a distance of 46.71 meters.
