STARKVILLE, Miss. – The Montevallo track and field teams opened action at the Mississippi State Alumni Bulldog Relays with a pair of throwing events on Thursday.

The only events to take place on day one were the Men's and Women's Hammer Throw.

On the women's side, Emily Wolf placed seventh overall, with a distance of 47.11 m. Wolf was the top-DII finisher and placed ahead of seven DI opponents. McKenna Jackson also competed in the event, finishing with a distance of 31.31 m.

On the men's side Josh Kreis finished with a distance of 37.47 m and Zane Weeks finished with a distance of 37.24 m.

The Falcons are back in action for day two of the Alumni Bulldog Relays on Friday.
