LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The Montevallo track and field team opened the outdoor season strong, capturing 13 first place finishes at the Jerry F. Smith Track & Field Complex.
12 Falcons picked up the 13 first places, with
Emily Wolf being the lone Falcon to garner a pair of top finishes. Wolf earned first place finishes in the Discus Throw (44.24m) and Hammer Throw (46.71m).
Elizabeth Hayhurst earned a first-place finish in the Javelin Throw (39.87m), along with a third-place finish in the High Jump (1.45m).
Zane Weeks earned a first-place finish in the Javelin Throw (57.48m) on the men's side.
Farrah Hawkins secured a first-place finish in the Triple Jump (10.94m), along with a third-place finish in the Long Jump (4.98m).
Other Falcons that picked up first place finishes included
Slate Rohrer (110m Hurdles – 14.91),
Amari Lewis (400m – 49.94),
Ryder Black (High Jump – 1.85m),
Zauren Burton (High Jump – 1.60m),
DeAndre Archie (Long Jump – 6.71m),
Austin Abney (Pole Vault – 4.00m),
Leah Dendy (Pole Vault – 3.35m), and
Gabe Gamble (Triple Jump – 14.49m).
Two Falcons earned a pair of second-place finishes including
Corey Perkins who placed second in the High Jump (1.80m) and the Long Jump (6.71m).
Morgan McCartney secured second place finishes in the High Jump (1.50m) and the Triple Jump (9.97m).
Katie Wilkerson picked up a second-place finish in the in the Discus Throw (43.51m) and a third-place finish in the Shot Put (11.28m).
Wyatt Pugh garnered a pair of third place finishes in the Discus Throw (39.70m) and Hammer Throw (39.80m).
