MLAX Duo Named USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American Honorable Mention

SPARKS, Md. – Montevallo men's lacrosse duo of Matthew Boas and Alex Egorshin have been named USA Lacrosse Magazine Div. II All-American Honorable Mentions.

Boas' first All-American selection follows a season that saw the junior score a team high 54 goals while adding 18 assists for a Montevallo best 72 points on the season. The Nanaimo, B.C., Canada native added six man-up goals on the season with the game-winner in Montevallo's 16-15 win over Alabama Huntsville in overtime. Boas tallied 11 hat tricks on the season with a season-high seven goals in the Falcons' win over William Jewell on March 16. Boas' PBC-leading 54 goals and third-best 72 points earned the junior First Team All-Conference Honors as well as a 2025 PBC Co-Offensive Player of the Year award.
 
Egorshin's second All-American selection follows a season that featured the junior's third-consecutive PBC Defensive Player of the Year award and a First Team All-PBC selection. The Hoover, Ala. native led the conference with 14.75 saves per game and a total of 236 saves on the season. His .601 save percentage led the league and ranked fourth among Div. II leaders. In a full 60 minutes in goal, Egorshin allowed a season-low five goals on two separate occasions while adding a season-high 22 saves twice.
 
Montevallo joins Flagler and Lander with student-athletes named All-American with the Falcons and Flagler tied for the most from the Peach Belt Conference with two selections apiece.
