BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference has released the 2025 Preseason Women's Soccer Poll and All-Conference team with Montevallo tabbed as one of the top teams in the league.

The Falcons were selected as the No. 2 team in the Gulf South with a total of 132 points and a single first-place vote. Montevallo comes in behind defending champion West Florida and joins Lee (No. 3) and Union (No. 4) as the top four teams in the conference. Montevallo's second-place ranking mirrors its second-place finish from the regular season standings following the 2024 season.
 
A trio of Falcons earned Preseason All-Conference honors with Morgan Goehring, Shadia Valenzuela and Isabel Dillehay named to the all-conference squad.
 
Goehring, a junior out of Yorba Linda, Ca., finished the 2024 season with 18 points on six goals and six assists while earing D2 CCA South Region All-Region honors, USC All-South Region honors and a First Team All-GSC honor. Valenzuela, a senior transfer from Lipscomb, scored a team-high 11 goals while adding four assists for 26 points on the season. Valenzuela ended the season with a Second Team All-GSC nod, and a pair of All-Region honors. Dillehay's preseason honor follows a season that saw the junior score eight goals with four assists for a total of 20 points while earning a First-Team All-GSC selection, and a D2 CCA South Region All-Region nod.
 
The Falcons also saw Lara Brewis, a denior defender from Sydney, Australia, Stina Johansson, a freshman defender from Bromma, Sweden, and Sierra Nickleberry, a junior transfer from Azusa Pacific, to the 2025 GSC Newcomer Watchlist.
